This 4 Inch remodel housing is constructed from galvanized metal to increase life span of this housing. There is a thermal switch included, it will automatically power off when overheated and automatically turn on when cooled down to increase the can's efficiency. This 4" Remodel can is airtight and can be installed near insulation (IC Rated). Product Overview: Use this 4 inch remodel can light for remodel applications where you don't have an access to the ceiling. However, if the ceiling is exposed and you haven't installed drywall yet, we recommend using Four Bros New Construction Cans. This remodel line voltage housing is made of galvanized steel and is IC and Airtight.
